MacKenzie Rincon

Mackenzie is a graduate of Campbellsville University in Marriage and Family Therapy. Mackenzie hopes to learn more about family systems and provide support and a safe place to restore bonds within the family. She believes that families and individuals are capable of growth and healing. As a marriage and family therapy intern, Mackenzie is passionate about helping individuals and families regain hope for getting "unstuck" and working towards their goals and desired future.

Mackenzie has lived in Kentucky for the majority of her life, except for a small amount of time that was spent in Mississippi. Mackenzie completed her undergraduate degree at Campbellsville University. While at Campbellsville University she strived to be an active participant in the community and school-related activities. She worked for CU Career Services, helped organize job fairs, completed her practicum at Hope Pregnancy Center, and wrote articles for the CU Psychology Breakdown radio broadcast.

Mackenzie enjoys working with individuals and couples but is also very passionate about working with children. She works with children who have disabilities and assists them in learning about skills. These skills can include emotion regulation, coping skills, interpersonal skills, and daily living skills. Mackenzie has experience working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, family/relational issues, and thoughts of suicide. Mackenzie enjoys using therapy theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Collaborative Language, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
